But occasionally I see something I like to snap.

From my deck while drinking a beer.

Now that works.

Some spelling errors can be corrected by a vowel movement.

That's what our sunrises/sunsets looked like around here last year with fires going all around the state. Clear skies this year. Nice shot.

What were your settings to get it that red? Mine usually wash out.

"Settings?" Sorry, I had to chuckle at that. It's a Cannon SX30 IS automatic. It has manual settings...but I don't use them coz I'm a lazy slug who just points and shoots. I think the deep red has something to do with the camera choosing the best display and going with it.

It has a wonderful zoom.

I shot the moon the other night from the deck, just holding the darn thing free hand. Not the best photograph...but as close to a telescope as you can get in a camera that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It could have been better with a tripod. The shutter speed seemed like close to a second.

About half the secret to getting some good shots is to just carry a camera.

What's the worst thing that can happen? O.K., what's the next worst thing?
