Had the good fortune to work for some good friends, got to ride 4 miles into the Ruby Mtns and hunt with some great guys. ![[Linked Image]](http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii116/weasel03_bucket/IMG_0342_zps0qywced8.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii116/weasel03_bucket/IMG_0347_zpsyswbhu6y.jpg) The third day it snowed 4" where we were camped, made the hunting better, but we were worried the passes we came thru would be drifted in for the trip out. ![[Linked Image]](http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii116/weasel03_bucket/IMG_0352_zpsdjr44a0c.jpg) Buck on the left grossed 180" ![[Linked Image]](http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii116/weasel03_bucket/IMG_0358_zpsedgprval.jpg) We made it out OK, the trail did drift pretty deep, made for leading the horses for a ways. Some beautiful country!

I'll be there next weekend. Hope the snow holds out.

Is that from the Secret Pass access? We drove to the end of Lamoille canyon and headed south on the Ruby Crest trail. This goes without saying, but don't skimp on your winter gear. A kid in his 20s died from exposure there in September

Headed to NV in November with a good friend for his elk hunt. Expecting cold! Looks like a beautiful area there. Be nice to know more details about your hunt.
