Greetings,

I recently purchased a Winchester Legacy in 30-30 and am looking for bases/rings for the rifle. I'm leaning towards Weaver bases and Warne rings. However, I've read mixed reviews about that combo. Some folks have had problems with rings slipping/coming loose, others love it.

I'd like to hear from folks who have used this combo and what you think about it as well as any other base/ring combo that would work on the Legacy.

Thanks in advance for your feedback

I like the Weaver bases and Millett Angle Lok rings. They don't move under recoil.

The Winchester's are drilled to favor a right hand shooter. The Angle Lok rings with windage help you bore sight the rifle without turning the scope knobs.

Thanks William for the response.

Looking through a drawer of assorted gun stuff, I found a set of Leupold PRW rings. I'm going to give them a try along with weaver bases. Seems that Weaver and Redfield are the only folks making bases for the 94AE.
