Sounds like you're getting all Christmas-y!

It looks like I'm going to be doing a lot of cooking the next ~month between various events.

I'm thinking I need to take some notes on the whisky thread as I'll need some downtime wink

It's all good Lott, to each his own. I'm just choosing to give my hard earned bucks to those I feel deserve it. That Summit Spice & Tea place up in your neck o' the woods looks like they've got some good stuff. Thinking about giving them a try. At any rate, looks like you've got some good stuff going on in the kitchen so enjoy! You got me going all Pavlov with the mulled cider and wine...dats good stuff. Tis the season!

It's all good. I think I'm just so done with politics after the election that I can't muster the energy to get spun up about one more idiot and his cry baby communist rantings. That said I know we must be extremely vigilant in the future as they won't rest.

It's funny as my wife gave me some grief for spending a bunch of money on spices, yet a few weeks back she spent a bunch of money on not a whole lot of tea from Summit Spice and Tea.

Very nice website.

Same here. I've got enough Penzey's spices to last a good while, but I will not be buying any more.

Don't know if it's the best, but I've ordered stuff from [color:#3333FF]My Spice Sage when I can't find it locally and would have to drive to the City.

Always been happy with their stuff..

If you use any volume, check out Butcher and Packer. I make several dozen pounds of sausage every year, after the hunting season. Been using this outfit for many years with complete satisfaction as the quality is always top notch.
Just today picked up 76# of pork shoulders to mix with the venison.

Have used Penzey's for small quantity spices and blends in the past, good stuff, but not particularly unique. Unlikely to buy from them again.

Imagine your grave on a windy winter night. You've been dead for 70 years.
It's been 50 since a visitor last paused at your tombstone.....
Now explain why you're in a pissy mood today.
