Anybody driving (or looking at) one of these?

I can't find a used Rhino in Arizona, at least not one without 3500 miles on it. I'd like to tap into that Yamaha dependability.

Might give up some bed capacity to the Rhino, might make it up in off road capability.

RZRs are fun, can't haul enough to camp out of. Hear bad things about longevity with Polaris RZR

I've been looking at the Wolverine's quite a bit for the past couple of months.

By all accounts, they are not a speed demon but they are dependable and go places they shouldn't.

Bed capacity is only 300 lbs and its not real large nor is it a dump bed. So that's a negative if you want to haul stuff.

I would definitely go with the R-spec EPS model at a minimum.

The SE is definitely a nicer option and has features you would probably want to add on a regular R-spec but also quite a bit more $.

Broke in doesn't necessarily equate with 'used up'. wink

the rhinos for sale are also 7 years old or better.

I'd take a 2012 with 50 hours on it in a heartbeat, but people that have them aren't selling them I take that as a good sign!

My purpose would be for some long self supported trips where breaking down means walking back, that is my critical task, so dependability tops speed or looks. ability to handle rough country (washouts and rocks) is a close second. (last trip was 38 miles out, only way back was way we came in.) that's a long walk, anyway you slice it. depending on season, life-threatening.

I will certainly use it to putt around forest roads, but the main point would be those long trips.

I bought a wolverine yesterday. It will do 55 mph. That is plenty fast for me.

I'd love to find a descent Rhino myself. Good machines.

If other Rhino owners are like me, I understand why they are hard to find. Now that our son is out on his own and my Rhino survived several years of him it may just be my final purchase as far as UTV's go.
