Been doing the last minute prepping and packing I take the kids elk hunting.
Figured now was as good a time as any to try a little camping/hunting. Weather is still good. So we decided to try a little backpack hunting. Don't really have the right gear. Too heavy etc, but we are going to try it.
Got out late today so spending the night on the road and going to drive in to where we will take off hiking. Decided to do a little last-minute double checking. Found out her cow tag is not good on the game refuge we are heading in to camp and hunt on.
Boy am I glad I learned that now. And boy does that piss me off. There's some non refuge land further south we are going to try out. Wish us luck.
