Apologies if this was already posted but being so keen to try some recently discovered brands I was excited to find this article on a site called "Wild Indiana". I recently bought a pair of 8x32 roofs after years off sticking with porros. For $200 got some 8x32 Zen Rays and absolutely love them. The low light and overall performance, build and aesthetic quality has completely won me over. I bought in to the Pinnacle's silver coating hype years back and felt burned. I wondered if advancements since then including dielectric coatings would be enough to convert me to roofs. Some on here said they doubted it and I admit I was pessimistic but am no longer. When it is time to replace my clunky porro heavy Bushnell Legends Styrka and Tract are getting my first consideration so I was happy to find this. Hope you enjoy. Binocular test drive

Thanks for the link. I wish it was more apples to apples, considering the price disparity of the models tested. The $499 Vortex Talon HD would have been a better choice to compete with the Tract. I guess one can consider the evaluations individually for what they are worth, or just the $250-300 models against each other. To me, plenty was missing in this "Ultimate" test.

yeah- it wasn't perfect but it was open at least. I was most interested in seeing how the Styrka matched up against the Tract since I sort of introduced them both here. Those two are seeming to outperform even my best hopes.

Thanks for the review. Just received a 10x42 Tract Toric today for my wife to use elk hunting next week. They offer 2 day free shipping and gave me a 10% discount even though I missed the $100 off special a few weeks ago. Very impressed with them. Not a lot of difference between them and my Swarovski EL range 10x42's. Very well built binocular.
