hey, you can't kill big critters with a 243! I use the 105 hybrids. Really like them.(on everything.)

Laker,
The barrel is 23" and with scope it's approximately 9 lbs.
The Brux #3 is a pretty hefty contour and the bottom metal is all steel.
Since it's a mid to long range rig the extra heft is ok.

Couple of 7 mags. Not super light but they both get the job done.

Factory Rem 700 barrel/action in .243 Win, cut to 21" Stocky's LR stock, cerakoted by me SWFA 3-15x42 Silencerco Harvester Timney 510 It will put 3 100 grain SGK's into 1/2" at 100 yards pretty much any time you ask it to. Mainly it is my coyote calling rifle but it does get pressed into service as a deer rifle occasionally. It does really well with an 87 grain VMAX too.

This is my go to hunting rifle. The 300 RUM loaded with 168gr TTSX @ 3340fps. It has proven a very capable load maintaing MOA accuracy out to 600 yards regularly. It has proven itself on bears, bou, and moose. It has been used in my top two long range shots, both on caribou. I shot a large bull at 519 yards a few years ago and made a 657 yard follow up shot to drop a wounded bull a few weeks ago. specs Remington 700 LA trued and lightened with Wyatt extended mag box 26” Shilen 1-10 remington mag contour fluted Hight tech Specialties stock Leupold VXIII 3.5-10x50 Illuminated with S1 turret in talley lightweights all the metal is Nitrided wieghs right at 7 pounds 11 oz

Note the tape..... big dummy scopes, gay colors.. top it...
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.
