Sept. 3 I was sideswiped by a hit and run driver while riding my motorcycle. These 77yr old bones are healing well but slowly.
Someplace in some Dr., or chiropractor, or PT waiting room I read part of a magazine article about a pistol being made by a new gun maker in Texas. 9mm auto. I was keenly interested in what I was reading and the apparent quality and positive features of the gun. I'd like to follow up on it.
Can anyone point me to whom that manufacturer might be?
Thanks Jim

Texas has several gun makers that I never heard of before, did an accounting temp assignment a few weeks ago at a rifle maker called Tracking Point in Pflugerville, TX. They make a series of rifles that are computerized, supposedly anyone can hit a target at 1,000 yards. The owner was nice enough to show me one of his bolt action rifles on my first day. It was weird to be working on Excel spreadsheets with guys walking around with guns in an office.
A few miles North of my apartment in Austin is LaRue guns, they make a high end AR-15. High Standard supposedly started back into production in Houston awhile back making the old target pistols of old, but I have not seen or heard of any of their guns on the market. My Mossberg 4 X 4 rifle was made in Eagle Pass, TX. A few hours drive from my place, would not be surprised that there are others in the Lone Star State that we have not heard of.
What is the description of the gun you read about, polymer frame, steel, compact, striker fired, blued or stainless?

I think STI is from Texas.
They even tend to not be as good as they think they are.

Republic Forge, I think they are a high end 1911 manufacturer. Then there is Bond arms and of course STI.
