The Socialists have seized the States with the highest amount of Electoral College votes so 4 out of 5 voters have no real vote in November. http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/2016/04/12/Now-We-Know-Why-It-s-Time-Dump-Electoral-College

"The College" already has the votes for us. Our so called voting rights are nothing more than a feel good story.

The election is the only time when the stick up their azz elites rub elbows with the city negro's. However those two groups (Philly and Pitt) are the ONLY reason PA ends up blue most times. It's frustrating knowing how the people who actually tow the load have their voices silenced by people who don't know what it's like to bust your azz week after week to keep your familys head above water.

Our government is a republic, not a democracy. The existence of battleground states depends on the existence of red and blue states.

Damn straight Skippy, look at the Pa. voting maps. Blue in the corners the rest is mostly red. Or, Philly and Pittsburgh, with Alabama in between. Remember that quote from the Clinton's buddy?

If it wasn't for the electoral college-----Al Gore would have beaten GW Bush. Gore won the popular vote but lost in the electoral college.

Depends how you look at it, yes if you are a minority view in your state, then your vote probably won't matter, but that's a short term view. Get out there, change the states view!
We only say we don't count because we lose. As mentioned battle ground states matter because of the states that have a excellent chance at being a toss up. In those battle grounds every vote does count.
If you're not a battle ground state, that's because the majority in your state sways it. Change things, get out the word, you may not matter in this election at this point, but you can make a difference long term.
NH used to be solid republican, it went Dem for a bit and now it's swaying back. Things can change, don't give up.

I told this to a buddy at work last week when I was trying to get him to understand what the electoral college was all about. When I finally told him that he magically got it!!!

My vote for POTUS, won't count, I'm ok with that, but I'll cast it anyway. I don't think that ever in my lifetime, Wyoming ever sent anything other than all 3 electoral college votes to Republicans, but there are plenty of down ballot things we need to keep conservative as well.

And Bill Clinton's 1st election would have gone to the house. He won without a majority of the popular vote. Thank Ross Perot for 8 years, maybe 16, of Clintonosis. The EC was a system designed to give smaller states a tiny advantage and it still does today. The heartland tends to be more conservative and the EC gives that section a few more votes. Dumping the EC would be just plain stupid as it would give more power to the large, liberal states. Only a liberal would want to dump it.

I don't understand this. It only goes to the house if the electoral college doesn't give one candidate 270 votes. Several times the President has been elected without the winning the popular vote.

Again, that's "ASSuming" that the fraud we saw in Florida, only happened in Florida, and the other 49 state vote total was 100% accurate. I don't believe it. Only a couple hundred thousand votes separated Gore and Bush and the so called popular vote total that day can never be believed.

How many remember "voter intent"?
If the ballot selection was not marked for President, or not "clear" if marked or not, the Democrats were then determining the vote by "voter intent" based on how the voter marked the ballot overall.
This meant that the "interpreter" of that ballot became the actual voter on that ballot.
Florida was the tip of the iceberg that evening.
