Ya see now, culling the population would be easy if they'd all identify themselves so readily.

Good.

They may not know it, but it's probably better for those protesters to get arrested than to have local ranchers deal with them.

This has been going on for months.
I haven't heard about ranchers doing anything at all.

yep, i thought most of the revolts or protests were occurring on rez lands. if ranchers are under attack on private property, then that's a separate set of conditions and issues. i'm sure the pulse of the community is being observed pretty much constantly.

Geeze, talk about depending on the goodwill of Law Enforcement.

My guess is, he's going to spend the night in jail with his hand in a bucket of cement and a car door on his arm.

These 83 would find HRC not hardcore enough for their issues. Winter will show up soon enough and we'll see where these jackasses hole up.

Any bets most of them are from elsewhere? I can get someone free from a bucket of cement; either with a machete or with a chipping hammer, or sledge, depends on whether it was my car.

I can only hope that next time the kid decides to encase his head in the bucket of cement.

I look forward to someone reporting that 83 were found either frozen to death or with severe frostbite, where they have to have limbs amputated....in a couple of months or so...

Almost none of the activity has been on reservation land. It has involved trespassing of some form from the beginning (if you count camping for extended periods and camp construction without permit on BLM land). The protest has taken advantage of the stoic nature of most ND ranchers.

Trouble is WE will pay for the medical expenses and such. That's why I said before the state or county needs to sue somebody for expenses. Mainly Buffet and or sorros. I believe they are behind it all.

Actually, I wouldn't have even taken the dude with his hand in the bucket of cement to jail.

Just leave him,...maybe leave a jug of water with him.

Come back in 3 or 4 days after he's chit his britches a half dozen times and lost 15 lbs,..and ask him if he's had enough or if he wants to stay another 3 or 4 days.

Also,...if the dumbass didn't have a good rubber glove on his hand, he's going to learn a lesson about the chemical makeup of cement.

Lye is pretty rough on skin.

He'll be damn lucky if that hand ever works right again.

I read on their website that about 3' would be average, 4' in agriculture areas, deeper in some other areas. I think I saw 5' as being the deepest.

"The Dakota Access pipeline will be underground and covered by a minimum of three feet of soil and more if the pipe is crossing unique land formations, such as agricultural areas, roads, or rivers, lakes and streams. For certain facilities associated with DAPL, such as mainline valves, measurement instruments, testing or pigging facilities, regulating controls and pump stations, these facilities must be located above ground to safely operate the pipeline.

In agricultural lands, the pipeline will be buried a minimum of 48 inches. There will also be a minimum of two (2) feet separation between the pipeline and existing infrastructure, such as drain tiles. Under roads and streams, the pipeline will be buried a minimum of 60 inches."

The pipeline does not cross reservation land at any point.

In Nigeria, locals tap into the local pipelines and siphon off large quantities of oil. The losses can be up to 25% of the total flow through the pipeline. Often these operations are sponsored by local gangs, warlords or even local officials.
