With Halloween only a week away it's time to examine a new twist on an old tradition. Many don't know that a Forty Ninth State tradition for many years has been celebrating the holiday with Crown Royal and full-sized Snickers bars. But now we have Crown Royal Vanilla. Is this the work of the Devil and his little Goblins? Or is it a Halloween miracle? It sounds ghastly but is it?

Haven't tried it. Now that you mention it, some Maple sounds good though.

I abhor the whole concept of flavored liquor. But to each his own.
While we're on the subject, the grownup version of Halloween ought to be Trick or Drink. Door to door getting little "fun-size" tipples as you go. What finer way to spend a crisp autumn evening?

for some reason I can't stand Crown. It just tastes horrible to me.
Bulliet, Makers, Beam Black, and some others are fine. But that crown is just bad.
To each their own.
I do like flavored pop, so I guess if it was flavored beam I could make myself try it.
Let us know how it goes!

Whiskey and Snickers, that sounds like a headache in the morning! I'll stick to beer and chocolate chip cookies!

Pretty burnt on CR myself
The flavors don't help
I just like good whiskey
Not saying Crown is bad whiskey
Just had my fill of that particular flavor
Do miss the bags though
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

We are rural so set we up stations whereby one old neighbors fire truck will roll by pulling a trailer of hay bales that the kids ride and gather candy. We will be spending the night in the city seeing Cabaret at the Majestic so a friend will be offering ours.

Let us know how it goes! true. I can't stand it either. Takes like the way cigarette butts smell in an old ashtray. They gobble it down in South Fulton, Tn. It's a luxury item to an MTD lawn mower factory manager.

Haven't tried it. Now that you mention it, some Maple sounds good though. The maple flavor in CR is incredibly horrible! It tastes nothing like maple syrup to me... and is sickly sweet.

I abhor the whole concept of flavored liquor. But to each his own. I'm with you on the first sentence, but the second gets used to smooth over some pretty bad sins. You know, like overcooked steak and ice in sipping whiskey. Some things simply will not do.

I dont know how anyone can drink the flavored crap, but its apparently pretty popular because there's lots of it out there now. I'm not sure how anyone can drink Canadian whisky either but lots do

Heathen, or Philistine? Yes. Bourbon reminds me of sun-blasted road ditch bottles we collected too many of as kids.

Canadian reminds me of sweetened Zippo fluid. That must be why I like it! Bourbon smells and tastes like something that went "off" somewhere along the way........ turtle whiz or something perhaps in the amalgamation.

Is this the work of the Devil and his little Goblins? Or is it a Halloween miracle? It sounds ghastly but is it? I can't hardly choke back CR any longer. That said, I bought my yearly bottle of CR Black last week for Halloween. Because some traditions are just too good to let die. The CR Black is about all I can stomach from velvet bottle line and only for Halloween.

While a senior in college, my GF's sister and brother and law lived in a small development full of well paid, 30 something Yuppies... I came up and took their 5 year old son Brian out trick or treating in the neighborhood... When I got him back home, his dad hands me an empty beer mug... I asked what that was for being empty.... he tells me now its time for the adults to go trick or treating... We staggered home roughly around midnight....I woke up half on the couch and half on the floor the next morning around 10 or so...a little worse for wear and tear
