Wow.. A monster mega-buck mulie. Good luck on him, but remember; those types of bucks are usually only seen when not hunting or don't have a tag. But sometimes the hunting Gods may smile on you and put you in the right place at the right time. I've filled a bunch of whitetail tags over the last 44 or so years but only one mule deer tag. Ten years ago this month in Wyoming and it was one of my most memorable hunts ever.

This one was poached in a nature park inside the city limits of Twin Falls, ID a couple years ago. The guy was caught and the penalty was high. Just for a start, he'll never legally hunt again in most of the USA.

Nothing like a big mule deer to get the blood boiling. My buddies bud and his bud took a couple beauts in Wyoming this week. Not far off these guys. Id say 180 and 190 .

I'm no expert on mule deer in Texas but I would assume the biggest ones would be in several spots in the panhandle area.
