When are you taking it hunting? Looks like it's been resting too long, Joe. Never!!  I have more guns that were messed with that need to be hunted then I will ever get to. I can afford to have a few that are just to look at. David's experience with his 284 sticks in my mind..

Just messin with you Rory. My Malcolm is the only rifle that I would try to protect, and it's going out next month. It's the only HP I have and I'm trying for the slam this year, so it has to go out. I think I'm going to pull the scope and send it to Parsons to rebuild, and hunt with the tang sight, Joe.

Now you're talking, Rory! I love it. If you ever get tired of it... I shared a few cell phone pics with a couple guys yesterday. You're about 3rd in line. Not flawless, but given it's 104 years old I'm thrilled. Thin chip gone from top of buttplate, couple of small tang cracks starting.
