As you can see the Model 71 and the 348 cartridge is still a force to be reckoned with.

I shot him at about 75 yds and it was BANG,FLOP!

Love shooting my lever actions.

I have killed several with mine. It's a lot of gun for hogs.

Haven't killed anything with mine yet. Good to see it still works, I was told that .348 has to be a belted magnum to work on deer anymore.

I owned a 71 Winchester for a time in the early 1970's but found the recoil too stout for my liking. Sold it and bought a long barreled Marlin in 35 Remington and have had good luck with it ever since.

I'm glad that you enjoy your 348 as its an extremely well built hunting rifle. Ballistics are impressive, too.
