I've been hunting one of these and just came across one. I shot about 25 rounds out of it today and it never had a hiccup. It's not the fancy custom or delux model, but just the plain model. Even though it's not fancy, it's in very good shape. It also has a modified barrel. He's asking $600 for it. I know it's not a screaming deal, but are they worth about that much?

My wife's uncle collects them. He pulled it out knowing that I'd been wanting one when we were going hunting. He told me that I should try it. When we were out there he told me that he'd sell it to me for what he paid. I didn't see how I could go wrong.

I have one. How long is the barrel? Mine has a 30 inch, full choke barrel made for the days when lead was king. When Ithaca went back in business I was able to order a second barrel, 26 inch with choke tubes. That 30 inch barrel is hell on turkeys and coyotes but kind of unwieldy.

It's either 30" or 32". Its long, but I didn't think it was too bad. It would be tight in a layout blind, but I bet I can make it work.

I have only had one for about 35 years and have run a tremendous amount of shot and powder through it. Made the mistake of letting a seriously over-rated choke tube installer put tubes in it last year. Thinking the full tubes too tight for steel...
Anyway, it has killed a barge-load of geese, ducks, turkeys, cranes; called coyotes, foxes, and wolves; feral pigs; and a few other things I would prefer not to admit to...
I have seen most of them going for over a grand here, but they are used here for shooting wolves from the air and are very hard to find.
I do not believe I have ever had a failure to feed or function with mine.

700 would be a steal, locally for a decent specimen...

I always buy my non-tox from Roger's Sporting Goods. Their prices are generally better than anyone else and they'll usually ship cases for free

They weigh a metric schit ton, but they get the job done.
I may have to figure out how to reload once I get some hulls built up.

I think you guys are right, the original barrel was 32 inches, I believe it was full choke too.
