9 day gun deer season began November 19th windy with gusts in the 40 mph range. Every camp member except for the cook was on a stand. First time in camp history no deer were shot opening day. The deer were definitely hunkered down. Buck was sneaking ahead of a drive. Missed the spine got lungs and broke right leg humerus. Great bucks for sure.
Only 9 days? How long is muzzleloader season ? 7 days and I was out chasing deer since this last Monday. There is a four-day antlerless only Dec 8-11. Plus, there is a holiday hunt Dec 24 to Jan 01 in certain counties.

Each buck looks better than the previous one, all great deer. Looks like you've got quite a group of hunters hunting out of a picturesque camp in beautiful country. Congrats to one and all.
