OP KeithNyst Campfire Regular Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 2,042 N.E. Minn.	A decent 1899 .250-3000 has been on my list. This one is headed my way. Sure hope it makes the shipping ok. I probably paid more than I should have, but it's appears to be quite nice and scratches one off my list. SN range is 1862xx. Does anyone know about the serial number range where the cross-hatched trigger ended? (Will look at it when it gets here). BTW, has a 22" barrel.

These rifles started at about 193,000. 1862xx should be late 1916 production. One of my checkered trigger 1899 250-3000's has serial number 1900xx. It also has a large crack in the forearm even though it's in excellent shape. It also doesn't come apart with the normal procedure. We may be seeing a trend here. Your rifle is a beauty. Like I said before, if mine ends up in a different home, you know that it was either stolen or I passed away. Very pretty gun. High quality.
