Wasn't quite sure where to post this, if this isn't the appropriate forum, please move it for me. Is RW Hart and Son still operational? I've tried calling and emailing them on several occasions over the previous two weeks with no luck. Is this normal for them or have they closed their doors? RW Hart and Son

If you look at the show dates on their website it looks like they are pretty busy traveling to and from shows right now. http://www.rwhart.com/v2/shows.asp

I didn't catch their show schedule on the web site; thank you.

Are you saying they shut down the shop to go to a show, no one around to answer the phone?
I would have thought it was a bigger operation than that.
You can run an office, at least the phone answering part, remotely with cell phones. Today's technology is amazing, you just gotta use it.

They do shows and like to hunt. R.W. Hart and Son is more of a machine shop than a gun store.
They are located in the small town of Nescopeck, in eastern PA, just north of I-80. I have been there a couple of times and sat down with Bobby.
A few years ago, I bought a .30 Hart. I would probably still own it, but it was just too heavy to be practical, for me. I should have gone for a "lightweight hunter".
Nothing but good to say about them.

Here's a Bobby Hart built 7mm-08 I traded for. Has Rem Sporter contour, 23" barrel, action trued, 510 Timney. It had a McM Hunter stock that I sold, bought this Hunters Edge thru Rick, glassed it, sent it back to McM for Olive/black speck paint. It's a shooter. I just picked up a couple of boxes of Nosler factory 120 gr. NBT ammo at a great price. Will load additional combos as I have time and shoot factory ammo for now. DF
