I bought one of the first HUnters in 6.5 Creedmoor. Shoots three different factory loads close to moa.

Feeds and functions perfectly. Wish the magazine held four instead of three. It is only a few ounces heavier than the Montana the and the stock feels really good to me.

I like mine a lot.

If you want, wait and see what the Howa 1500 is like before you buy a Kimber. It was less than a RAR.

A Kimber Hunter for $675?

Send me the link, I don't see them for that price.

That was a Black Friday price which ended Monday night. I bought the last one.

Sportsmans Outdoor has offered them before at that price.

Bet they do again around xmass...

I know how (military purchase program) to get a Howa Alpine for about the same money.

Which is better?

My 6.5 CM weighs 5.10, new out of the box.

So far, with two factory loads - Whitetail 129's and Fed Fusion 140's it's pretty much a MOA shooter with a Leuplod 2.5x8 on deck.

With a little imagination and paint, you can customize the stock pretty easily.

I apologize for posting the same ole picture over and over - I need to take some new ones.

So far it's accounted for one blacktail buck and it's going after a cow elk next week.

Apologies if I missed it above, but can someone tell me what OAL the internal dimensions of the magazine will allow?

I picked one up in .257 just to get the feel of one, it felt like a darned nice rifle. I got a "bad" Montana and said that it'd be a long time before I bought anything else that said Kimber on it, but this one has me thinking...

Is that 5.10 lbs or 5 lb 10oz?

5lb 10oz would be my guess.

Just got back from taking mine to Kansas, 6.5 CM. This was the third animal I took this Fall with it and all dropped in their tracks.

Kimber7man, I have this guy running my place in Owen County but in three years this is the only daytime picture I have. He is as nocturnal as a vampire.
