All:
A good friend of mine wants to let one of these go. Any opinions of this firearm? In excellent shape.
Thank you ahead of time.

I had one and the DAK trigger was very smooth but, since I have other DA/SA pistols, it was hard to go back and forth. Sold it to a fellow deputy. If it is going to be your only pistol, or if you only have DAK triggers on your others, it is fine.

In the used police-trade-in market, the DA/SA guns sell out before the DAK guns do. If you are a striker-fired guy a DAK may be just the ticket.

Thank you.
I know the DAK trigger is unique. I got the pistol and got it for a really good price.
Will give range report soon.

Let me know if you 'need' a .357 Sig barrel. I would......

IIRC the U.S. Coast Guard uses that pistol. Call up a Coast Guard recruiter. He or she may have experience with it

I'm late to the party, but I carried the same gun for a few years before going over to the dark side. I like the DAK action over a DA/SA Sig action, and I never had a malfunction the entire time I used it except for user error one time when I forgot to seat a magazine all the way.

If you have the conventional DA/SA, pretend it is a DA revolver.
If it is a DAK, pretend it is a Glock.
