MD,
What is your thoughts on the .243 win. For mainly a
Whitetail cartridge?
If so what would be a good handload combo?

The .243 is a fine whitetail cartridge. I've used quite a few handloads over the years (along with quite a bit of factory ammo), but the one I generally rely on is around 41 grains of IMR4350 or H4350 with a 95-105 grain bullet. That almost always shoots well, regardless of the bullet.
