A Priest calls after 10 years?

That's like the KGB, man.

,...been hosin' a woman for a decade,...then alla sudden,...the "Priest" calls!

,..spooky as hell.

Mormons get to hose 10 women for 20 years before the Bishop gets into it.

Yeah, but the Mormons are gluttons for punishment.

3 weeks. Married 7 months later. Had our 40th anniversary last summer.

Priest: "Word has it that you've been givvin it up".

Woman: "Well,...for about ten years, or so. I figured you knew a long time ago. Why are you just getting around to calling now?"

Priest: "I've been busy,...OKAY?"

Ordinarily I would post a pithy 'ped priest' retort to spice the conversation up, but Father Tinkler did two tours in Vietnam with the Australian Army and is one of the very few Godly people I have ever met, and one heck of a decent fellow.

The Catholic church hierarchy sent him away to some troubled area as he was needed there...and if the locals here ever meet any of the [bleep] mick pricks that had a hand in that we will dump them in the local river.

First date I knew I shouldn't let this one slip away.
She says with a roll of her eyes "what a romantic" because we were both shooting at the local range when I looked over and ask her "ya wanna get married?"
One of the smartest things I ever asked.
We'd been together two or three years before I said that.

I wasn't, just conversing and enjoying the time off, it is too damn hot outside.
I am supposed to be out using an angle grinder and wire brush to clean my 7x5 trailer for painting...but am procrastinating as I really don't like getting burnt to a cinder.

Jeez Bristoe, I would have a heart attack before my fat arse made it across the room.

Or my wife would beat me up.

I'd put that off.

But it's probably not a good idea to take my advice on such matters.

These days I put everything off.

I am pretty much at that point now, but this year my daughter is taking a gap-year prior to university so we will be hunting throughout the Victorian highlands through winter, I also want to take my girls up to Longreach in Queensland so that they might meet relatives and see the country.

I have been planning for the winter hunting with my lass since 2009, slowly getting the gear together so the trips will be something she will remember favourably for the rest of her life, and hopefully she will do the same with her future family.

I found my current wife in a chat room a long time ago back when the internet was still a novelty.

We were both still young, slim, active folks.

She was up in Boston. I was in Kentucky. I had never been to Boston.

Anyway, I cashed out a 2 week paycheck and headed up to meet her with a wad of money in my pocket,...took her shopping.

She was dressed like a Boston woman,...so I bought her a pair of Daisy Duke denim shorts and a tank top. She looked right after that.

So we had some lobster rolls,...I brought her here,..and we got married.

I knew it was the right thing to do because I lost 10 pounds without trying,..(I was already a skinny lil guy then),...my eyes changed color,..and I had to start shaving twice a day.

I figured "It must be love".

What else will kill you at this age?

Started dating in June, suggested IT in August, married two years later,

that was 40 years ago.

48, with the wind-chill.... wink

She and I both say that to folks when they ask 'how long'

I met my wife at a rifle range. We dated for about 9 months before getting engaged, and then about 6 months before we got married, and I've never looked back once. By far the best choice I ever made. I lost a girlfriend to a drunk driver when I was 16, and it took me a long time to get back to dating. Cathy was a a breath of fresh air and truly put the wind back in my sails. I'm a very lucky man.
