It was especially concerning to me as my son works downtown fairly late at night. He was even interviewed by a news reporter after the shootout with the officers to see if he was concerned about violence downtown.

You just never know. I don't know what possesses someone to take a random innocent life. There are plenty of people that deserve to be taken out of this world. I suppose if you're a psychotic coward you choose easy targets. I learned a long time ago to know what weapons were available to me and where they were located. I always assume the worst and always have an escape route.
If it was easy, everybody would do it.
