I wanted to start a photo thread for rifles with beautiful stocks. We have other kinds of photo threads here (the fence post thread, etc.), but I didn't see one for amazing stocks, so here we go!

With CZ rifles in particular, people often refer to them as "lottery winners," since it's usually luck of the draw on what kind of stock you wind up with, in terms of figure. Custom or hand-picked stocks are definitely welcomed, however! I'll get us started with a few poor photos I took today of a CZ550 Satin Lux in .308WIN that I finally wrapped up today (the Talley rings finally arrived). I'll have to get some better photos later. Stock is factory, not custom, so I guess I got a winner! I have a nice CZ527FS I'll have to get photos of later once it's rings arrive also. smile

Please share yours to add to the thread!

French walnut stocked Model 70, .270 (1949) Super Grade, left. Mauser, Mark X custom stocked, Claro American walnut, 7mm Rem Mag., right photo. Both rifles stocked in early 1970's by custom stocker's.

Basher & others;

Some SUPER good looking rifle wood there. Even tho I have a few decent looking rifle stocks they CAN'T compete.

I did HAVE 2 years ago that would be right in there. Somewhere I had 1 or 2 pics but haven't seen them in years.
IF I can find them I'll try to enter them later.

VERY NICE Guys- congrats. I still enjoy seeing them.

I bought this stock off a member here who preferred synthetic stocks and dropped my 8 twist T3 superlite in 223 into it. Love this rifle....

I get sorta funny feelings for the featherweight. Some nice figure, wonderful lines and goes with the flow...

This thread is sure to cost someone some money!
