OP tzone Campfire 'Bwana T Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 46,745 Just The Tip	My son shot his first deer on opening morning of the WI gun deer season. He made a great 1/4'ing away shot behind the leg with a perfect heart shot, hitting ribs and exiting the shoulder on the opposite side. She did the heart shot "leg kick" and a 30yd death run. Leaving a few tiny drops of blood in the snow. We never would have seen them on dry ground. He stood at last blood as I circled around. I took about 10 steps and found her laying. I walked up to her and said "I have real good blood here. Come on over." He came around the brush and was all smiles. As we found her. Smilin like heck. Wolf Bait I told him he had to drag it out. But I walked back to the truck to get the Otter Sled and make it a little easier on him. He did pull it all himself. It was about 1/4-1/3 of a mile back to the truck. It was a great morning to be an 11 year old kid. It was a great morning to be a 39 year old dad too. Camp is where you make it.
