Anyone have an opinion on either tire? Will go on a 2012 chevy 2wd.
95% highway, a little bit of shallow mud, no snow or ice. Trying to keep the cost down, but want something reasonably durable.

Who has experience with either?

I have the Dynapro ATMs on my 2007 F-350 4X4 Diesel. I only have about 5K miles on them but they are extremely quiet, are wearing evenly, and are a pretty good all-around tire. In deep mud they pack up and you have to keep them moving to clean them out (as you would expect from any AT tire). They do great on wet pavement and the load range E that I have do very well with a load. Mine are 285/70-17 and they perform well in the sand. I've only had them in the snow a little bit but they were just fine. I would buy them again. A friend of mine ran the same tires on nearly and identical truck to mine and got 60K miles out of them. I bought mine through Discount Tire Direct when they were having a big sale and paid $620 shipped to my door, which is a hell of deal for this size of tire.

Dynapro ATM's are really good tires.

How much is the mount and balance after UPS drops them off.
Most local mom/pop tire shops here are not totally excited to mount internet tires......

I bought some Cooper Discover AT tires this morning from the local Perfection Tire that has always treated us right, and they were 900, out the door including tax. 265 70/17 10 ply.
He will bend over backwards to serve us...
Free re-balance, rotate and free repair.
I plan to keep buying from him.

The Goodyears are OK. That's what came on my newest 2016 Ford King Ranch Super Crew 4x4 F-150. They are quite on the Highway and don't hydroplane in the rain. And they are decent in mud and sand. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but they will do for now. I have 10K on them already and they show no signs of wear. I spend a lot of time in the pasture running over cactus and mesquite and haven't had a flat yet.

I just took them to the local Discount Tire and had them mount 'em when I bought new wheels from them, so I don't remember. I think the local shop I deal with charges $15/tire for mount and balance.

Have the dynapros on my f250 and land cruiser.

good price, quiet, decent in the mud and pretty good on snow/ice.

I tow 5000-9000 lbs quit a bit with my pickup and am happy with them for that too.

Local tire places push back on the internet tire sales. It is cheaper to just buy from those dealers or places like Sams club. Sams ordered in specialty tires for my corvette cheaper than the tire rack with the mounting up charges. I bought premium Michelin truck tires last year at Sams, again cheaper than Tire rack and fees.

If you balance your tires regularly, it's cheaper to buy local, sometimes a LOT cheaper. Many tire shops will balance free for the life of the tires they sell.

Our guy here in town has no problem mounting and balancing tires bought on the internet. I have had both the Wrangler ATS (came new when I bought my current pickup) and am now running the Dynapro ATMs. They are a much better tire if you get offroad very much and they look like I'm going to get more miles out of them.

kinda had that same dilemma when I put tires on my blazer. 235/75/15....Goodyears were 85 bucks a tire, The Hankooks were $105 each.

Obviously, I had the Hankook Dynapro ATM's put on.

I have absolutely no use for goodyear tires.......None.

Had a little snow here so far...I have yet to put it in 4wd. It had goodyears on it when I bought it last November. Had to spend a lot of time in 4wd last year....Even just to get out of the driveway.

The Goodyear wranglers had around 25,000 on them as per the receipt included in the sale. They may have had 1/3 tread left. These Hankooks now have 16,000 on them....By the looks of them, they may last 100,000. Near brand new.
