It says 6.16 lbs if I did the math correct. By the time you get a scope and mounts on it along with a sling and some ammo your looking at 8lbs or more. I wouldn't be a bit scared of that if the stock was didn't pound my face.

But 243 and 338... would do just about anything with the 243 though... and if I really wanted for the biggest US stuff, I"d go 375 or 416 something insteda of 338...

I have a standard 85 finnlight in 300 win and it's not bad even with 200 grain partitions.

I wouldn't want it much lighter though and sometimes wish I'd just bought it 30-06.
