an old old guy I knew passed away and left me some furs, they smell pretty bad. they were in the attic of a musty old house
how do i get them clean ??

My understanding is that a good dry cleaning service can clean fur coats, but it is a specialized process.

Put some corn meal in a coffee can, add white gas until you make a paste,(just enough gas to make a ball) rub into fur, blow out with air compressor and comb.

I would try using borax before anything else. I borax all my fur before sending to NAFA. Just use it dry, rub it in throughout the fur, when your done shake it out. Id use compressed air with caution but it helps.
