I've been looking at a Marlin 2000 Biathlon.
It does not have iron sights.
Appears to have been modified with the "summer" kit so that it will accept a magazine.
It has 2 spots on the end of the barrel near the muzzle that the blueing is marred. One spot is the size of a dime, and the other a little smaller.
It also has some sort of corrosion on the scope mounts/rings.
Sorry... I don't have any photos avail at this time.
Also, does anyone know about their accuracy?

James Pepper: There's no law west of Dodge and no God west of the Pecos. Right, Mr. Chisum? John Chisum: Wrong, Mr. Pepper. Because no matter where people go, sooner or later there's the law. And sooner or later they find God's already been there.

I have two of the Marlins 2000, they are good shooter, but not on par as the Remington 40x, 540 541, Winchester 52, Anshultz. But they will hold theer own with lower price 22 target rifles. What is the sellers asking price

The seller is asking $325 obo which includes an older Tasco 6x24x50 scope (made in Japan) and 4 magazines.

Magazine are $15.00 each. if it came with the rear aperture and hooded front then he's in the ball park. Not a bad deal but not good deal, there's alot of cosmetic issues with the rifle to make it a great deal. like getting the rifle reblued to bring it back to 100% will cost you $50 to $85. They don't come up for sale alot so you need to take that into consideration. I stumbled across 2 Remington 540 before christmas, one with sights one without, paid more than I wanted to ($450.00 each) but you just see them for sale. I was looking for Remington 541's and 581's. does this rifle have the blue stock or the walnut one which is do rear to find

also if I came across it for that price it probably would be coming home with me, but I'm a sucker for target 22's that's why I have over 200 of them.

It's the plastic blue stock, not the laminated wood stock.

Ok, after more investigation, the scope is a Tasco 6x24x42 and it was a factory option.
It's a mil-dot scope from what I could find.

It's the plastic blue stock, not the laminated wood stock. they made the 2000 in plastic blue stock, 2000L with a laminated stock, and a very rare 2000 with a black walnut stock, I have one. I checked all my old marlin catalogs and can't find where they offered it fronm the factory with a Tasco scope, might have been a dealer program.
