First real cold spell with some snow last week, perfect combination for some good bunny shooting. I ended up Shooting 140 rounds through my CZ 455 .17hmr. Not sure how many rabbits I ended up shooting but a hit ratio in the conservative 60% range - a bunch. To say it was a target rich environment is an understatement!

Hornady .17gr V-Max - really thumps them. Only issue I have is that you can't shoot through brush like you can with a .22, but the .17 more than makes up for that with nearly zero wounded ones getting away.

Centershot,

What do you do with them after the shot? Do you eat them or leave em for the 'yotes?

Feed the coyotes - plenty of ravens and hawks around also. Jack rabbits are vermin around here. They do thousands of dollars worth of crop damage in years when their numbers are high.

Weather is breaking, may have to hit them again this weekend.
