Have a SAAMI spec 280 as of now and enjoy the 162 A-max/ELD offering. Having a 280 AI built as I write this with a 9.5" twist. Best I could do on twist. the 162 gr does well in a stock 280 (not sure on twist thinking 10") will a 175 ELD-X stabilize in a 9.5"?????? I won't cry too hard if it won't as the 162 offering is a damn fine bullet.

I asked hornady the same. They replied 1:9 is the min with 8.5 or faster being preferred. They said they would not try it in a 9.5 twist.

Dang! I guess I'm stuck at .631 BC or whatever the 162 is.....
