Looking to barrel a mini Mauser action and was wondering if a CZ 527 Barrel would work on this action, if not any other ideas for a take-off barrel in a 204 or 223? Want to do a 223 ackley or 204 with out breaking the bank.

I have barreled a few has an odd metric thread, I won't be to the shop until Friday I can at least provide some dimensions then.
What you have done is not nearly as important as how you have done it!!! The Old Fart 2008 A.D.

The barrel thread is M22x1.5. That is about .866 tenon diameter. Any barrel from a Remington 700 or probably a Savage ( or anything over 1" diameter) could be turned down and the shank reprofiled. I have a mini with a Rem 700 .223 barrel fit to it but it isn't done yet.

Thanks for the info! Looks like no direct fit, will need to re-thread/chamber whatever take off barrel I decide to go with. If any one has a goo 204 or 223 take off barrel with out too many rounds, please let me know.

Does anyone know if a 1.110 shank barrel would work for this mini mauser action? I have come across a sale on Wilson ( Cooper barrel maker) barrels on Shooters Forum ($120 shipped). These are air gauged and hand lapped. Any one have any experience with these barrels?

I think that should be more than big enough diameter to give you the shoulder on the tenon. If you have the action, measure the diameter and see if you can live with what it will look like.
I have a Wilson in one of my AR's and it shoots fine. Not a Kreiger but a good barrel for the price.

Just checked and the Rem barrel fit to my mini is 1.040" in front of the receiver.
