Hi all,

I just bought one of these to raffle off at my clubs annual banquet but I'm a T/C guy and I generally ignore CVA.
This one is blue/camo with a Konus 3-9 set up.

It was a spur of the moment buy, NIB for $80.

Will I or the winner regret it?

Thanks,
Kragman

You stole it. We have 2; a black/stainless and a camo/stainless/nitride. I have not tried to make target rifles out of them but the trigger on the stainless is very good and on the nitride is great. Using 80 weighed grains of Blackhorn209 and a Hornady 250gr my son has taken bucks at about 125 yds and 100yds no problem. I used the same load on a buck as well with the nitride. This year I went with the .40 cal 200 gr bullet. Had a light charge of 58 weighed grains loaded for my wife to use. She went home and I got full penetration on a 164 lb buck with the reduced charge. As easy to disassemble and clean as it gets. I would absolutely suggest to anyone that uses the rifle to buy a Blackhorn209 breechplug and weigh their charges. That powder is clean. Good luck

They're very good rifles. Mine is very accurate. I used to use 3 of the 50 grain Triple 7 pellets, but have since gone to 2 pellets and am still getting good results.

I own a SS/synthetic with the BH breach plug conversion.

100 grains of BH powder (volume)
300 grain Harvester scorpion
209M primers

100 yards off bags. Outstanding accuracy and the trigger is fantastic. I can do that over and over without ANY swabbing.

The trigger on the one I bought is very good too. I think someone will be getting a deer dropper.

BTW - I run 100 grains of RS, loose or pellets, in my old Thunderhawk with the old Remington 303 grain CoreLokt sabots (until I run out - won't be long) I get very.good accuracy, same poi at 50 yards and that load is decisive on deer.

If the CVA shoots like that TC I'm gonna wish I had kept it! lol

Thanks all
Brian
