Is that what they call a "flyer"?

Not a flyer unless you're shooting 10 shot groups; just a little twitch. smile

Lapua Brass
BR4
23gr H4895
73Gr ELDM 2.400" COAL (0.005" Jump)
Single feeding them for 600 F-Class

10 rds at 100 yards.
Order of groups:
New Lapua Brass
Once Fired Lapua Brass full length sized
Once Fired Lapua Brass Neck Sized only

I adjusted my zero just to keep the groups seperate.

Neck sized some more just to do a little more testing and ended up with this 12 shot group at 100 yards.

They sure do look good if nothing else.

Nice shooting.

What made you go with the 73 if single loading? Have you tried them from a magazine yet?

nonnieselman,

I haven't tried neck sizing only for the AR, since the "popular wisdom" advises against it. But the results of your group testing have me thinking about some experimenting of my own.

I would assume that, as with a bolt gun, at some point you would need to full length size to bump the shoulder back.
How many times have you been able to neck size a case for the AR before needing to full length size?

What kind of velocity do you get from that, nonnieselman?
