Thanks for the pass on the link. GW

It did sound good. Just spoke with the owner and he is holding for me pending approval of pictures forthcoming. My 38-55 has been long time coming, hope the pictures match the physical description. GW

I'd like to have one. I;m guessing if it doesn't suit you, I'd probably be leery as well. I hope it works out for you,

Agreed to pay his listed price and shipping. Seller was to advise me of shipping cost from Alaska. Stalled me for a few days left message saying he sold locally. Hope he also got some extra money for his trouble. My opinion is his parents failed severely in his upbringing. Chit happens! GW

GW,

That really sucks. That happened to me before and I know how you feel.

In my case, the guy said it was sold to me only to contact me the next day saying he got more money.

I tried to give a guy a check for $3500 dollars, for a diesel brush chipper, only because it was late Saturday, and the bank was closed. I said I could have cash first thing Monday and offered a couple hundred cash for a deposit. He wouldn't take the deposit and said he would be glad to hold it for me. Sunday I went by his house and it was gone. I thought he put it in the barn, but called to check. He said another guy came by right behind me and kept offering more money. He said when the guy got to $5000, with all $100 bills he let it go. If he was telling the truth, I understand. He said he needed money bad. I've never needed money bad enough to go back on my word. But, I do understand a bird in the hand, Joe.

Seems like I run into that type thing more and more lately. What's happened to people?
