Of course it works perfectly. *Kills deer from a 22-250 too.

There was mention on the "Match bullets for varmints?" thread of some of the lighter varmint bullets splattering on bone or lacking in penetration. Just wondering how this particular bullet stacks up since I have a bunch of them.
Forgot to mention this will be in .223.

I use the 40 gr Ballistic Tip on coyotes, when I'm using the 223. Hits hard far above what you'd expect.

I mainly use the 40 gr Nosler BT's in my 223's driven at 3700, I have also used the 50's just not as often. With both bullets I have had great success - usually just an entrance hole and a dead coyote. The 40's in particular drop them like they were pole-axed. My favorite coyote bullet by far.

223 Rem, my favorite cartridge - you can't argue with truckloads of dead PD's and gophers.

Thanks to all for the comments. Loaded some up with 26.2 gr. of X-Terminator and hopefully we'll see how they do tomorrow.

Use them all the time from my 22-250. The more I use them the more I like them as much as the 55.
Ballistic Tips aren't your standard explosive varmint bullet, that thick solid base holds together a bit better.
You will have no issues busting shoulders with that bullet at 223 velocities, I do it with the 22-250 on 90% of my shots.

50 gr. B-tip excellent for anything one would fire a 223 at.
The base of the bullet is heavier than any 224 bullet, save the tbbc, By the time its apart from the rest of the bullet the damage is already done. Some exit a yote broadside sometimes they don't. The exits I had were small, maybe just the base of the B-tip.

Forgot to mention this will be in .223. I have had good luck with the .223/50 Vmax combo on fur.
