I am LH and have always ordered my rifles in LH either factory or custom.
I have a one, LH custom rifles I am going to sell..as it is a duplicate of one stolen...replaced and then the stolen one was found..so i dont need two identical. I wanted to test the waters here first...for potential price.

The details of it are below...suggestions for fair market value as this gun as ordered was $3,100.

•Left Hand Hill Country rifle 7MM built on professionally blueprinted stainless Remington 700 action
•McMillian Synthetic Stock, pillar bedded, with Pachmayr decelerator recoil pad Uncle Mike’s sling swivel studs
•Match grade Lilja Stainless Barrel 1:10 twist, #4 contour 24”
•Jewell Trigger tuned to 1.5 lbs.
Scope/rings not included
Barrell properly and meticulously broke in
•Maybe at best 120-150 round count through the tube
Awesome 1/2 or better at 100 with Berger 168's
longest shot was in CO on elk at 434 yards. Just inquiring as I have not sold one of my custom LH ever...
Pictures coming if i can...reduce them!
IF not email me for pictures if they are not here...
Price suggestions requested...

Since no one weighed in, I'd say somewhere around $1200 to $1500. I built one like it but with a faster barrel twist for about $1800.

Most custom builds sell for about $.50 on the dollar for what it cost to build them.

7mm mag rifles also seem to be about the most difficult caliber rifle to sell other than wildcats.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Another way to price it is at "breakup value" of the major components.
Action 450
Barrel 300
Stock 450
Trigger 200
Total 1400, so we are all in the same ball park.

I do not think LH guns bring more or less money unless they are particularly scarce, but the market is obviously thinner. Marketing in order to get national exposure helps a lot, so the classifieds here or a gunbroker auction may help you get a higher than just an ad on a local board.

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. Unfortunate to hear that most are going for .50 on the dollar...however when I look for a used rifle..that is the price I expect to pay, unless it is exceptional...and a fantastic shooter..which this is.

So the options are,
Take $1500 for it,
Break it up and piece it out
Keep it...

Based on those..I may just keep it...too nice a rifle to sell this cheap..or let it go for a song..gotta wait for taxes...!!
