I don't think Oz is worth 72 mil either. Problem is nobody else thinks he's worth that much. And the contract goes with Oz. Texans only choice is to keep him or cut him.

Personally, I think Oz has a lot of potential though.

Also, the word here in Colorado is Elway has the inside track to Romo and they have been talking.

Romo will play maybe a few games before he's out for the season again. Coach needs to tailor the offense to the talent that he has. Is Ozweiler worth $72 mil, no but he is not that bad a QB. O'Brien has not had a successful QB, could be his O scheme is too difficult to assimilate or needs a brilliant QB to work. Many O systems also depend on receiver smarts. The receivers also reads the coverage and reacts, plays are not necessarily set. I think that this is the reason NE always seems to have good receivers, they don't draft for say, "speed" talent, but for smarts. There aren't that many Brady's or Rogers' available. Dallas found one. Goff didn't exactly fill the bill of franchise QB. Drafting QBs is a crap shoot - how did Manziel, Leaf, and G. Smith work out? Brady was a 6th round pick. Paying a bunch of money expecting the player to play at the money level does not seem to work, e.g. Flynn or Cassel.

I don't know if there is an ulterior motive to you guys encouragment or not........... shocked

I don't really know that much about Romo.

Although Elway had success recycling Manning.

Recycling Romo will just get you more Romo. Just like recycling Cutler will only get you more Cutler. I don't see an upside in either case.

The problem is with Denver's O-line I'm not sure even a young Elway would have much success..........

Romo is a very good qb who has never played with a good D. I think a back up qb and 3 rd pick moves him. You will not get a jj watt or even half that for Romo.

The many records holding Romo? Cutlers only records are probably for interceptions or lowest passer rating..

I was going to reply by listing Peyton Manning's and Tom Brady's records, but it would take up far too much space.

LOL

In my mind Romo's accomplishments are closer to Cutler's than they are to Manning's or Brady's.
