This is a Sako Mdl 78 22lr rimfire. Original buttplate, magazine, bluing in good shape, factory iron sights, don't have front hood. Original stock that someone has tried to refinish, takes a good picture but upon hard scrutiny you will want to refinish some day. For a shooter it's fine. Previous owner tried to skim bed it and did a poor job, at least he didn't hog out a bunch of wood. If I were going to keep it I would take a piece of sandpaper and clean it up. Out of all the 78's I've owned this is the only one that has had some nice figure in the butt, most look like canoe paddles. Serial number 711,xxx, comes with factory original box, numbers correct but the box is on it's last leg, basically it's coming apart. It will ship in the original box inside another box for protection, price 775.00 shipped. This is a decent original shooter grade rifle that would take very little to make nice and will never be worth less that what I'm selling it for. Will take paypal cash/gift or certified funds, make sure your FFL will accept from an individual, 750.00 FTF in the DFW area. PM your offers, I have it on other sites and I go by time stamps when someone says I"ll take it.
