I don't know whether to thank you or cuss you out for bringing that to my attention. You'll note that it is no longer for sale.

Saw this today ran up the hill and a Stainless Walnut 77/22 for $460 is mine. Regular price $840. They have one left. Kid told me the synthetic versions they can order at the discounted price.

I have every combination of stock and metal in M77 or Hawkeye but the walnut and stainless. I have blue and walnut, blue and synthetic, matte black and synthetic, matte stainless and laminated and polished stainless and synthetic. Stainless and walnut looks the best, and I don't have one. I wonder if a 22 Hornet was ever made in walnut and stainless. The $369 22 magnum came in. Now the 22LR has a companion. These Redfield scopes at $119 were a steal of a deal.

Oh no. I don't give a schit either way.
I was just curious because I try and put rimfire scopes on my rimfires. But having used regular glass on them I know you'll have zero issues killing stuff regularly.

These 77s are a challenge to mount scopes on with the regular rings. I tried the compact Redfield 2-7x33 and couldn't get it set far enough back for my liking. Clearing the ocular bell can be a challenge with the bolt throw. These 3-9-40's provide just enough clearance. I don't know how much they weigh, but they are pretty light and seem to balance well.

Yeah.
Ruger would be wise to do away with their proprietary bullschit.
Rock solid system, but annoying.

Heard from a bud that the Redfields are really nice now that Leupold took them over. Leupold glass for Redfield price.

I have 5 USA made Redfield scopes and really like them. I think they are a fair deal at the normal price, but at $119 they are a steal!

Clark I use rimfire glass on my .22s, but the 77/22 .22WMR I just bought I put a Leupold VX-III 2.5X8 on it just to see what it'll do.. Wish I had the time/weather to actually FIRE the dang thing... Closest indoor range only has a 30 yard lane. Another one has a 50, but it's about 50 miles from here..

I finally got a chance to go sight the 77/22 and 77/22 Magnum in today. I didn't spend a lot of time working on accuracy but the guns show potential. Here are 3 targets fired from 50 yards. The third target was shot with my heavy barrel Savage 22 magnum. They are keepers! My look down the bore boresighting job worked great. One was an inch high and an inch left. The other was about 2 inches right and dead center horizontally.
