I am just wondering if anyone is now using their Chassis rifle for hunting? Ruger, Howa,
Savage etc?

I just bought a Savage 10ba Stealth in 308 and took it to the range today. I only shot it out to 200 yards but it is Crazy accurate. At 200 it made 3 shot one ragged hole hits. And direct POA....... (Topped it with a SWFA 3-15.)

Given the out of the box accuracy and that you don't have to mess with the stock or trigger , I am wondering if any of you guys are now using them for your hunting rifle?

Regards,
Dan

I use the one I put together on critters. I built mine pretty heavy, so it is not something I want to carry all day, but it is awesome to shoot. As a result, the critters don't much care for it.

I put this one together for hunting suppressed. Just waiting for my stamp to clear. The short barrel should help keep it manageable and folding stock will keep it compact enough to fit on a wheeler. I also topped mine with a 3-15 SWFA SS. It shoots great, I can’t wait to get it out and hunt with it.

I would want one for varmints, in a heavier configuration. I have a 223 Rem700 HB I would like to fit in a chassis.

Most don't know, but TRGs are actually chassis guns.

When sitting on the porch at the cabin, and the elk come rolling through the pasture,in the pre-dawn light, it sure is tempting ...

Do you prefer one over the other? RPR American or Hawkeye?

Thanks. Put a XLR Tac-Lite on a MDT, and may make a change. Unlike the XLR, the MDT (in my case) did not require a higher cheek position to get proper scope alignment.
