They will go into full panic mode if not already. President Trump is gaining a little traction with the Unions and if he has a measurable positive impact on the inner cities then the Democrats are toast for a long time.

This.

The Ds are going hard, far left. Trump is concentrating on jobs and the economy. If he starts breaking the D plantation in the cities, the Ds are done.

The ONLY way for the Rs to f'k this up is by going "culture warrior" and not concentrating on jobs, economy, national security.

Social/cultural issues should be left to the f'n states.

This would give everyone the ability to move to wherever they feel they fit in the most.

And the need to be social justice warriors for the whole country will be diminished mainly because it simply brings the whole country down.

There, I said it.

I read in WSJ that over 100 new protestors were brought into Standing Rock over the weekend. They aren't giving up soon. It is going to get interesting.

I think the out of touch with reality protesting is fantastic. Let them keep it up and encourage it. This only appeals to the lunatic fringe left of the Democratic party and it totally aligns itself with the Democratic party in general.

The independent middle of the country and somewhat normal part of the Democratic party will observe President Trump making positive progress as he actually works for us rather than on his putting. I am realistic that he won't get everything his wants to the degree he would like, but the sheer contrast between his successes and these radical protests will make him look far better than it probably should.

I am ok with that.

HMmmmm, bus trip from D.C. to SR,....timings seems right.
I'd like to ascertain just how many of em' were present, indeed perhaps even arrested in D.C.

Let Trump cut a deal with a bif auto maker to put an assembly plant in Chicago, IN Detroit, IN Cleveland, IN Philly for 10 years of tax breaks, and he can break the Dems back. He can say that he has done more for Urban AA's in 4 years than the Dems have in 60. If Trump gets 25% of the AA voters to leave the Dems, they can no longer win national elections, and the GOP will have a few more Senate seats. YUGE!

If he increases incentives to use existing fallow industrial buildings, he wins even more.

It would make even the conservation folks happy that new land isn't being sprawled.

McLame, like Bitch McConnell and Grahamnesty, controls the primary and therefore controls his opposition. The state party won't buck them because of their pull, and the primaries are tilted HEAVILY in their favor.

We don't want our northern neighbors to be the only ones with surface oil, do we?

From what I understand, most of the pipe is already in the ground in the first place. Just short stretches need completion.

Understood. So we're assuming that they didn't have the slightest inclination about this, say at some point after the 8th of November?

When everything was booming and LOTS of pipe was going in the ground, we were standing around waiting for whatever we could get. USA, China, it didn't matter.

Dollar waiting on a dime.

They already have the pipe bought for this one, I'm betting.

He did sign the EO that basically said whatever we build in America, the parts will be made in America....

I wonder where he would stand on the Armys new SIG pistol???

Can't imaging that the Current batch of 1911 makers could not engineer DOWN their production to meet Army Requirements....

And I do NOT mean that as a knock on our Military...

I understand that what is yet to be done is the pipe that goes under the water.

But watch! There will be lots of vandalism, such as punching holes in the pipe very soon. Time to break out the snipers!

If you had a clue, you'd know SIG build pistols in NH.

The 320/M17 is made in the United States.

When Beretta won the M9 contract the facility in Accokeek ran 356/24/7 for (I believe) three years.

FN has a plant in SC for a very good reason. And it has nothing to do with the POS M70.

From what I understand, most of the pipe is already in the ground in the first place. Just short stretches need completion.

That might be DAPL.

As far as I know there has been zero Keystone work done in MT.

Route planning of course but no actual dirt work.

Someone do their magic and make this big. Blue is a current pipeline from there to US.
Red is the XL- not built.

The enviro crowd will be breathless when this hits home. In fact that is a good thing! Just think of all the CO2 we'd be saving!

Keystone is routed to cross the Missouri 30 miles upstream from us.

Just up the creek from the Rez.

Just like DAPL.

I don't predict much for protests.

You don't think they didn't already have that in their back pocket?

Estimates will be made with contingencies, but typically not for products sourced from different vendors.

Understood. So we're assuming that they didn't have the slightest inclination about this, say at some point after the 8th of November?

Do you really think a project that was FID'd in 2009 estimated said cost post 9 November 2016? Maybe in the unlimited spend of the government on their projects.

It's also quite obvious you don't understand the question from your response, which isn't surprising coming from an engineer.

That said, when it comes to determining cost to lay pipe, you'd be the first I'd ask.

My experience has probably not been same as EdM, but it's always cost me a helluva lot more to lay pipe, than I thought it was gonna cost.

Hopefully that means a bunch more refinery construction in Houston - which suits me just fine.

HMmmmm, bus trip from D.C. to SR,....timings seems right.
I'd like to ascertain just how many of em' were present, indeed perhaps even arrested in D.C.

Well, there was one that got taken off the Alaska Airlines plane in Atlanta I bet... smile

Well, you could be famous. Why chase cows your whole life?!?

Or, open a B&B for the protestors, and take them on farm tourist vacations. There's money in them their pockets, ya know.

Heck, Sam. You could probably sell those prosestors cow patties as "Montana Pizzas".

That gumbo-mud-gob off a cow's hoof made it into the museum in Miles City after all.

Tell 'em it's "avante-gard". If I spelled that right.

Probably not, at least not because of this line. The expansions to refine this oil were done years ago and have been working with foreign crude, shipped in.

I concur. My pipe laying excursions have always come in over budget and under performed.
