Anyone have one? I was told recently that Creed's don't feed great in AR's? Is that true?

I'd go with the 6.5 Creed due to brass and factory ammo availability. I also like the shorter overall length as compared to the .260. Just built one for a friend, it's extremely accurate and no feeding issues.

My experience is that the 6.5 Creedmoor feeds fine in the G2 ARs.

Large frame AR-10s might be more finicky, due to the steeper feed angle, but I doubt the Creedmoor is any worse than the .260 considering well built guns.

No. Need the larger magazine.

There are now a few ARs that blend the smaller AR-15 and the larger 7.62X51 mags with varying degrees of success.

The DPMS G2 pattern is my favorite.

Just to steal this thread

Is a 6.5 CM just a barrel swap if I have a G1 rifle in 308?

Yes - basic barrel swap should work.

Depending on the 6.5 barrel you get, the barrel shoulder profile by the barrel extension "may" interfere with the barrel nut. IE, the barrel nut may be a tight fit over the shoulder to get it to screw onto the upper receiver. I've seen this with a Ballistics Advantage 6.5 barrel and a DPMS barrel nut.

I'm extremely happy with my 260 gasser. If you already have an investment in one or the other, that's the way I'd go.

If you do not reload the Creed has more ammo options.
If you reload the 260 will be cheaper with all the surplus 308 brass around and you can get more velocity from the 260 with more case capacity. 308 surplus brass usually lasts long than the Creed brass too.
I prefer the 260.
