A couple of years ago I switched that out for a 3-9'Bushnell Elite 4200. I had to go taller rings to clear the bolt, and I'm still not sure about that change. I needed the UL for a .22. I have since got a new UL (they now call them a .22 scope, but it is the same deal). It may go on the Safari. Or,since it will be used as a loaner, you could save a little money by getting a VX1. Wag more, bark less.
