I'm considering buying a new Chiappa 1892 in .44 Rem magnum to use exclusively with cast bullets. A previous bad experience with a Marlin .44 with a very oversized bore (0.432") has made me cautious. Has anyone slugged the bore of a Chiappa .44?

Would the bore diameter of one, be the same for all? Just asking
If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles

I'm not sure about that, I suspect there might be some variation even between the same manufacturers barrels. Marlins however are pretty famous for having barrels that slug .431-.433" depending on who is doing the measurements. I want something closer to the supposed minimum spec of .429-.430"
