Enough to overfill a 28 gun safe plus a ten gun locker. And the AR under the dresser.
"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing." Robert E. Howard
After reading this... I clearly have a hoarding problem.
I'm happy when the main safe door can contain all of them. The population fluctuates with my impulse buying, guilt selling, and passing on good deals to our deer shack kids.
3...I feel inadequate. Ruger 10/22, Rugger M77 Mk II, and a Colt LE6920. More to come soon though! I'll be adding a Mosin here in the not too distant future.
About a year ago I was sitting with some guys from hunt camp watching football when a news teaser came on about a major bust that involved "an arsenal of 6 long guns ans several handguns as well as 1000 rounds of ammunition" film at 11.
I got a bit of a cold chill thinking what would be said if my house was raided.
One of the other guys said "hell I got more than that in my truck now and I cleaned out my favorites last weekend".

looks like about 20 all told. Still gifting, selling some though. Just don't use them or need them any more.

L O L ! ! ! ... THIS is the kinda guy I could share a deer camp with...
A very few years ago I had accumulated more than 200 rifles (not counting the 25 or so shotguns and 40 or so handguns).
I have trimmed them back a bit (with the "help" of a now departed wife) so I now have 50 or so rifles, 12 shotguns and a dozen handguns.
I love guns and for years tried to own and use everything "different" I could lay hands on. As I grow older (and more experienced) I don't feel the need to own "everything". I now have rifles and other guns that serve a purpose.....and in some ways I'm happier.
Some of my guns don't get a lot of use. The .338 is for use on elk/moose, but I seldom get to use it.....still it's there if I do need it. My short range brush guns are useful, but do I really need a .44 Magnum Ruger, a .45-70 Marlin and a Model 14 in .35 Remington....all of which serve the same purpose. I have weakness for the Savage 99's but do I really need a .243 (which I'll probably never use), a .250-3000, a .300 Savage (once again probably seldom used), a .308 and a .358.
I like guns....but I'm trying to get reasonable.
I hate change, it's never for the better.... Grumpy Old Men The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know
So, the older I get the more I believe in Clint Smith's quote. "Beware the man that only has one gun, he probably knows how to use it".
I really need to cull the ones I no longer shoot and only bought them because I could. Fact of the matter is I was a far better shot when I shot the same gun consistently.

Chuckle, recall a guy named Darnell passed away about 5 years ago and his private collection of military surplus rifles in Nevada was auctioned off. Took about 6 months to sell his collection, with auctions of well over 1000 rifles held about every 5-6 weeks. Quantity of ammunition for his rifles was impressive too.
My father, a boater, once aked me how many guns I owned, and was shocked that I didn't have the exact number right at hand. I told him I could rattle off the list, but never really put a number to it. When I said that a quick guess would be maybe 20, he just about dropped his phone. He's not opposed to guns, even owns a couple, but apparently doesn't see why anyone needs so many.
Anyway, the number is in a constant state of flux, and is best described as "almost enough".
Exactly the same number I own!!
