Might even bring the dueling banjos and float down the river in a canoe past a couple of his stands! laugh He would have loved that!

I think most of us of a certain age were forced to take accordion lessons by our mothers who watched 'Lawrence Welk' on TV. Must have been some sort of a rite of passage back then. No doubt Bob's mom was a Myron Florn fan, too! grin

I wanted to play the guitar phugging badly. My next door neighbors both boys started with the accordian and then graduated to a Cordovox. Sad day

Prayers and condolences to Bob's family and many friends.

I only knew Bob through emails of shared interest in the M70, valued his expertise and always enjoyed his sage insight penned on the campfire. Bob was a class act, the 'fire lost one of their best, he will be missed.

A friend just told me of this thread and of Bobs passing. What a loss. I had e-corresponded with him about all things Page and Mashburns many times. We shared a few phone calls and I was impressed with his logical, serious thought.

We are all poorer for his passing. May his life be praised and his family comforted. Cancer is an evil affliction and I can only hope he is in a better place now, where the deer and elk are always cooperative.

God speed fellow hunter, you are home from the hill.

Bob also posted over on AR.

A quick search for Eastcoaster will bring up his posts.

Rick,

There's not much that I can add that hasn't been said. Quite honestly, I couldn't respond to your post on the day you made it.

Eerily, I think that was the day I dropped off some rifle parts at Norbert Costa's and we talked a bit about you.

We all are lesser men with the loss of someone like Bob.

I hated hearing of Bob's passing, he went out of his way to help me with a Mashburn. Would not surprise me to see him again on the other side.
