... I don't carry very often but when I do that's what it usually is.

Perhaps you don't carry often because the G19 doesn't suit you.

With my shirttail tucked in the only pistol that I can carry totally concealed is a North American Arms .22 Mag in a boot holster. With my shirttail out I carry a Glock 27 or a Smith & Wesson Airweight .38 SPL + P.

Glock 19 for me as my normal CCW. Sometimes a Keltec P3AT also.

The ideal concealed weapon?

If it existed, it would be the size and weight of an LCP at most, hit like a 10 gauge magnum at close range, and kick like a .22 short. Oh, and it would also be easy to grab when you need it, unlike the LCP.

Does a Remington 7600 in 35 Whelen on a Whippet mount and 10 round mags count? It hides well under my trenchcoat.

For every day use, right now, my Ruger LCR in 357 MAG seems to do it for me. 3 rounds at 3 paces in 3 seconds? No problem. It's what's with me the most now.

However, I'm working on shaking out a Ruger SR9 for a backup.

I'd love to read that sworn statement.

The OP did not set the perimeters. (Legal:vs: illegal / location/ conditions)
But I'll be judged by 12, before carried by 6.
In truth, I'd be much more likely to be carrying screwdrivers at the time, and they work well too.

Ol' buggory is such a badass, havin learned the deadly skills of the streets, that the first thing he does is throw a knife to the other guy, just to make it even.

Of course, we would not have had a court to worry about, but in Army hand, to hand combat training they taught us to use the best weapon we had.

I love the Glock 19 but don't plan on trying to conceal it anytime soon. For me, the G43 is as big as I can justify for EDC and that's even pushing it.
