Right to Bear has the RRA Match for $74.99 and the RRA Varmint for $84.99 if you have been waiting for a sale.

The RR match trigger is a good deal at $75.00. It gives a good trigger pull yet is even more simple than the original AR design. Some people just don't tolerate a 2 stage trigger, but for anyone else the RR is a good way to go.

AR15Sales.com has the Varmints in stock pretty much all the time for $88. Free shipping. If you live in FL you will pay sales tax of $6.16.

Thanks, I have a Varmint on the way from AR15sales. Because of the free shipping it was only a couple of $$ more than the Match from Right to Bear.

Son of the Gael, when did you place your order?

He was out last time I checked.

Better give Pete a call and make sure he has them in stock. The website will let you go through with your order even if he's out of stock.

You can also check your account to see if it was charged. I had called him to see what was up because the charge didn't show up in my account. He doesn't charge your account if he doesn't have them in stock.

He's supposed to be getting another shipment in soon.

Yeah, he said RRA is being a bit slow about filling his orders & he's about 10 days behind on shipping. No worries here. Nice guy to talk to.

So how does the RRA Varmint stack up against the Geisele G2S?

Probably a better feeling trigger than the G2S since it's a pound lighter.

That said I still switched from RR to the G2S's.

TWR, in what way were the G2S's better?

BTW, Son of the Gael, Pete just charged my card yesterday.

I can't say anything about the RRA triggers as I don't have any, but I have G2S, SSA, & SSA-E's & both the G2S & the SSA with a Wolf reduced trigger spring come in at a total pull weight of 3.5 lb, which is exactly what the SSA-E comes in at as purchased.

And I can really tell very, very little difference between the 3, with the G2S & the SSA set up that way.

Given that the every G2S is not tested or certified, I suppose it's possible that given enough of them, there might be some level of difference in them, but it's a very good trigger & will make most very happy in anything but perhaps the most precise of the precise rifles.

To me, none of the Geiselle 2 stage triggers are quite as glass-rod crisp as a good single stage or a bolt gun trigger, but they are very, very good, & safe & easy to use.

To me, out of the 5 or 6 I've owned, they are more reliable.

I'd rather not bash RR because they have reportedly stepped up QC and problems have been few but with 2 of the 10 or 12 I've owned having problems, it lingers in the back of my mind.

I had one for a large pin Colt that had a bad inconsistant pull. No amount of tuning helped.

I had another that the brad holding the disconnecor came loose.

But again, that was years ago and I have not seen any reports of failures like they had in the past, except for broken hammers on 22lr guns. Evidently blow back guns are hard on hammers no matter the MFG.

The thing with RRA, you won't get a 300 buck trigger because you are not paying 300... my last one was 62.... they are now 80ish I recall.

But for that price difference and when not overly picky, generally RRA won't be bad, will be totally safe too.

And if you can't tune it if it needs a bit, then I'd give RRA a call to replace it....
